These prestigious races are some of the most entertaining in the calendar and The Protégé made as much profit on just these races as most systems claim for a full year’s racing.
It has often been said that there are very few new ideas in horserace betting. Very occasionally one comes along to give us that “Eureka” moment. Tony Gibson recently presented us with this system and I can honestly say that I have never before encountered this unusual but highly successful way of finding big priced winners on a regular basis.
Prices up to 66/1
How many times has a short priced favourite been beaten by an apparent outsider of 16/1, 20/1, 33/1, 40/1 and yes even 66/1. The Protege System finds these “good things” on a regular basis before the betting pubic at large know anything about them. Of course the next time the horse appears at a racecourse everyone knows about it. But you were on it when very few people had any idea of its potential. A very satisfying feeling.

I have previously told you that you will be betting on the top thoroughbreds and this was emphasised at Ascot last year. On just two occasions last season the system had qualifiers in every race and this happened at Ascot. The meeting was the most prestigious of the year. On both occasions every winner was selected by The Protégé System. Can this feat be repeated this year, well it is very unlikely and certainly not over two days, however I am sure that there will be enough winners at Ascot to make the meeting enjoyable and profitable. The potential pay outs on those two days were;

Tote jackpot paid £167,346 to £1 stake
Day 2 accumulator 87,572
Tote jackpot no won £441,743
Of course to have collected on such bets would involve multiple selections and perms, but such bets should not be totally discounted. It is the big betting syndicates employing such tactics who generally scoop the big pools. This system’s effectiveness usually requires betting level stakes on more than one horse. You will be betting on 2/3 horses in an average qualifying race. This number varies wildly with many races having only a single runner selected. There are no complicated dutching or staking rules, each horse has exactly the same win bet placed on it. Using the on-line Racing Post these selections can be found the evening before racing. It is impossible to get confused about whether a horse is a selection if you follow the very straightforward guide.

At the beginning of July Eddie McClung, a member of the Racing Investors Club entered their betting system competition. For a four month period Eddie had to pass on his system selections via a telephone message line. The rules of this competition were that he must make a profit with the system for each of the following 4 months. The tipping telephone line was witnessed and enjoyed by hundreds of Racing Investors Club members.

The system made £8,374 profit in the competition in the months of July, August, September and October. In table above the two other numbers (e.g. July 16 2 ) are the longest winning and losing runs each month. These long winning runs are more impressive when I tell you that this system is laying Racing Post favourites. These results are not a “flash in the pan”, the system has more history than this. We will publish full results with the system going back 18 months and showing profits over £30,000, these results are summarised on the next page. You can see that the last losing month was June 2008 where £80 was lost. All other months this year have shown good profits. Throughout the competition months the strike rate was over 86% and has been as high as 90% in previous months.

The selections in April 2009 continued very well and were in profit by £3,065.

The Author Has Operated This System For 23 Months
Eddie McClung is now a semi-retired IT specialist and it is his recent retirement that gave him the free time to develop his Prize System. To say that Eddie is not new to gambling is a serious understatement, his first method, a football perm, was published by The People newspaper when Eddie was just 12 years old though I assume that The People were unaware of his age.
